Disaster Recovery Workshop Date Set For November 8th, 2007
CRMAC in coordination with the California State Archives http://www.sos.ca.gov/archives/archives.htm and the California Preservation Program http://calpreservation.org/ is pleased to announce a Vital Records & Disaster Recovery Workshop. The workshop will be a one day event.
The morning session will be devoted to organizing and identifying records vital to the operation of your governmental agency. The class instructor will be Renee Vincent-Finch from California State Archives.
Lunch will be provided by the Gold Rush Grille http://www.goldrushgrille.com/ and a short CRMAC business meeting will be conducted during the lunch break.
The afternoon session will cover Disaster Preparedness & Response. The class instructor will be Julie Page, California Preservation Program.
See attached agenda for additional information.
The cost of this interesting and informative all day event is only $15.00 and includes an annual CRMAC membership and lunch. Attendance is limited to 40 attendees so please be sure to register early as not to miss out (we must have at least 20 attendees to host the workshop). Please pass the word to your neighboring counties
The workshop will be held at the Secretary of State (SOS) Building is located at 1500 11th Street, Sacramento, 95814 (please note this is a change of the location from previous announcements).
There is no parking available at the SOS building. However, there is a Public Parking garage located across the street from the SOS building on 11th street between 'P' and 'O' streets. I think parking is about $20 for all day. You may want to park out and take the public transportation that comes right to the building.
The workshop will be held in the Multi-Purpose room located in the lobby entrance to the SOS building. The lobby entrance is located on the corner of 11th and 'P' streets. The room will be set up in a classroom style to accommodate 40 participants. There will be signage to direct participants to the correct room. At this point, the signs will read, "CRMAC Vital Records and Disaster Preparedness & Response Workshop".
